Frozen

Swollen, 

Slippery,

Frozen in time.

Heartbeat ceased,

Lungs deflated,

Icy toes suspended.

This season is over

And a new one has begun;

One of perpetual cold.

But one day,

The heat will return

To inflate the lungs and start the heart.

One day, this body will emerge

Out of the snow

Full of life and full of 

Purpose.
